I am working on two new techniques with fused glass.
The first is working with tapestry. You take a blank piece of glass, add stringers and full fuse. Then you cut it into strips and offset the strips creating interesting movement in color across the piece.
The second technique is very similar except you cut the fused piece of glass wth stringers into geometric shapes creating interesting play on color and direction within a piece. Both pieces are in the kiln tonite. The pictures show the two pieces in process. The yellow piece is the in final fuse after cutting geometric shapes, the other pictures are related to the tapestry that you see in the pictures. They still need several steps before they are done.
